The electrical system is a conventionally allocated part of the electric power system in which the generation, transformation, transmission and consumption of electrical energy is carried out. As a result of emergency situations in the system there are transients, during which the transition from one mode to another occurs.
The mode of the system is a set of processes that characterize the operation of the electrical system and its state at any time. Mode parameters: voltage, power, current, etc. - are interconnected by system parameters. System parameters: resistance, conductivity, transformation ratios, time constants, etc. - determined by the physical properties of the elements. There are several types of modes of electrical systems.
In electrical systems operating with a grounded neutral, there are four types of faults:
- three phase;
- biphasic;
- biphasic to ground, i.e. short circuit between two phases with simultaneous short circuit of the same point to the ground;
- single phase.
Energy (fuel energy complex) - an area of the economy that covers the resources, production, conversion and use of various types of energy.
